Obama to steal the banks as he did GM

Stated in the "Federal Reserve to gain power under plan" article, "The Federal Reserve, already arguably the most powerful agency in the U.S. government, will get sweeping new authority to regulate any company whose failure could endanger the U.S. economy ."

WRONG! The Federal Reserve is not an agent in the U.S. government. It is about as Federal as Federal Express.

If it was a U.S. government agency, why does the U.S. government (us taxpayers) pay back the Federal Reserve with interest!

Holy Shit! But does anyone see whats going on here.

Obama is giving power to the Federal Reserve regulate and control private banks. For those of you who don't remember, Obama appointed Former President of the New York Federal Reserve Timothy Geithner to the position of the U.S. Treasury Secretary. Now, Obama and Timothy Geithner are creating the opportunity for the Federal Reserve to take over banks for free just as the Unions took a large percentange of GM and Chrysler.

Under the Federal Reserve is the Office of Inspector General (OIG) which conducts independent and objective audits, inspections, evaluations, investigations, and other reviews related to programs and operations of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (Board). This would be the "watchdog."

But how effective would it be if the Inspector General could be fired by President Obama or Timothy Geithner when Obama fired Inspector General of the Corporation for National and Community Service, Gerald Walpin when he investigated Obama's buddy.

IT KEEPS GETTING WORSE AND WORSE!!! IS THIS REALLY THE UNITED STATES WERE LIVING IN????? HERE'S THE LATEST NEWS:

ABC TURNS PROGRAMMING OVER TO OBAMA; NEWS TO BE ANCHORED FROM INSIDE WHITE HOUSE
Tue Jun 16 2009 08:45:10 ET

On the night of June 24, the media and government become one, when ABC turns its programming over to President Obama and White House officials to push government run health care -- a move that has ignited an ethical firestorm!

Highlights on the agenda:

ABCNEWS anchor Charlie Gibson will deliver WORLD NEWS from the Blue Room of the White House.

The network plans a primetime special -- 'Prescription for America' -- originating from the East Room, exclude opposing voices on the debate.

MORE

Late Monday night, Republican National Committee Chief of Staff Ken McKay fired off a complaint to the head of ABCNEWS:

Dear Mr. Westin:

As the national debate on health care reform intensifies, I am deeply concerned and disappointed with ABC's astonishing decision to exclude opposing voices on this critical issue on June 24, 2009. Next Wednesday, ABC News will air a primetime health care reform “town hall” at the White House with President Barack Obama. In addition, according to an ABC News report, GOOD MORNING AMERICA, WORLD NEWS, NIGHTLINE and ABC’s web news “will all feature special programming on the president’s health care agenda.” This does not include the promotion, over the next 9 days, the president’s health care agenda will receive on ABC News programming.

Today, the Republican National Committee requested an opportunity to add our Party's views to those of the President's to ensure that all sides of the health care reform debate are presented. Our request was rejected. I believe that the President should have the ability to speak directly to the America people. However, I find it outrageous that ABC would prohibit our Party's opposing thoughts and ideas from this national debate, which affects millions of ABC viewers.

In the absence of opposition, I am concerned this event will become a glorified infomercial to promote the Democrat agenda. If that is the case, this primetime infomercial should be paid for out of the DNC coffers. President Obama does not hold a monopoly on health care reform ideas or on free airtime. The President has stated time and time again that he wants a bipartisan debate. Therefore, the Republican Party should be included in this primetime event, or the DNC should pay for your airtime.

Respectfully,
Ken McKay
Republican National Committee
Chief of Staff

MORE

ABCNEWS Senior Vice President Kerry Smith on Tuesday responded to the RNC complaint, saying it contained 'false premises':

"ABCNEWS prides itself on covering all sides of important issues and asking direct questions of all newsmakers -- of all political persuasions -- even when others have taken a more partisan approach and even in the face of criticism from extremes on both ends of the political spectrum. ABCNEWS is looking for the most thoughtful and diverse voices on this issue.

"ABCNEWS alone will select those who will be in the audience asking questions of the president. Like any programs we broadcast, ABC News will have complete editorial control. To suggest otherwise is quite unfair to both our journalists and our audience."

See that Enews is trashing people again..

Could it be that Rudy Zamora is a target because Enews own fat boy Alamia fathered an illigit kid with Zamora's daughter and Rudy makes him pay childsupport instead of letting him spend it on drugs???

Hmmmm....

Quit making excuses for Zamora, the man is incompetent and of course, a mujeriego.

dude what the hell is congressmen hinojosa thinking. J fucking D is badmouthing him about how he has EE wraped up and that he and the short mayor of Edinburg will make an example of him. i guess hinojosa is stepping down just like JD told us.

Anonymous said...

I can tell you for sure that congressman Hinojosa is not stepping down. J.D. Salinas has illegally been campaigning for the congressmans job. It tells you a bunch about the underhandness of this guy. I hear he will be arrested by the FBI before the election.

Anonymous said...

How do you figure JD is "illegally" campaigning???

Anonymous said...

Speaking of JD, WTF is Sylvia Handy still doing sitting in Comm. Court. This lady has been indicted and is on her way to jail. Why can't JD and the other commissioners grow some balls and kick her out.

Anonymous said...

First, campaign activity is under the jurisdiction of the Federal Elections Commission not the FBI. Second, there is no such thing as "illegal campaigning" as it is covered by the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The Supreme Court in Buckley v. Valeo ruled that Congress can regulate campaign activity in only very narrow circumstances (i.e. campaign finance).

Finally, the reason that Handy is still sitting on Commissioner's Court is that she has only been indicted. She hasn't been convicted of anything. An indictment is just a mere accusation. Furthermore, the Commissioners' Court has no legal authority to remove her. That jurisdiction lies in (a) the state courts (which can only remove her after a conviction is final [i.e. all appeals exhausted]) and the Legislature (which can remove her via impeachment).

You have to resign from cty. judge when you start telling people you are running for congress. You also have to tell people who your treasurer is and that you are spending money. This is illegal. The FBI stuff is for other dirty business. Here at the court house we know.

Anonymous said...

Okay, so legally, Handy can still sit there. But does that make it right? I mean, it's an embarrassment to this County. Dude, look at the evidence presented. It's all there and even the other folks accused (her friends) have plead guilty. The only reason she hasn't is because she doesn't know what kind of evidence the Gov't has. Just wait 'til the wiretapes are played and we'll talk then. Either way, the right thing to do is she should resign and not be a distraction to county business.

BREAKING NEWS: Action 4 News has confirmed that Texas State Rep. Ismael 'Kino' Flores (D-Palmview) is facing six separate indictments in Travis County.

Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg announced on Friday that Flores was indicted for failing to disclose sources of income, gifts received, real estate holdings and sales of certain real properties in the personal financial statement that he is required to file each year as a state officer.

The 50-year-old Rio Grande Valley lawmaker has served in the Texas House of Representatives since 1997.

The Travis County District Attorney’s Office reported that each indictment related to a financial statement for a different year starting in 2004 and continuing through 2009.

The six indictments contain a total of 16 counts of tampering with a governmental record and three counts of perjury.

Court records show that that Flores failed to disclose following amounts of income:

$152,000 in 2004
$125,000 in 2005
$115,000 in 2006
$135,000 in 2007
$185,000 in 2008
$135,000 in 2009

One of the indictments alleges that Flores failed to disclose income that one of his dependant children received from HillCo Partners, an Austin lobby firm.

Prosecutors in the case allege that failed the ownership or sale of:

A lot in Hidalgo County
A cabin on the inter-coastal waterway in Cameron County
A small ranch in Hidalgo County
A residence in Mission
A condominium in Austin
Land in Bastrop County
A residence in Austin
The indictments also allege that he failed to disclose certain gifts, including trips on a plane owned by the LaMantia family in 2007 and an ownership interest in a racehorse given to a dependent child by a lobbyist in 2004.

If convicted on any of the tampering with any of the governmental record charges, Flores could from six months to two years in state jail and up to a $10,000 dollar fine.

The perjury charges each carry up to one year in jail and up to a $4,000 dollar fine .

I WONDER IF DAVID DIAZ WILL BE DOING A NEWS RELEASE ON THIS OR BETTER YET, LET'S SEE IF HE'LL MENTION IT IN HIS LOSER EDINBURG NEWS SITE.

Everything my man Kino is charged with is what senator Chuy Hinojosa also does. Check it out he shakes the company's down and what Kino did is nothing different. If you look he forced the hospitals and many other companies to hire him or he punishes them. Chuy was also on the same airplane that Kino was on. So why is Kino getting hit up? Because he has been on a hit list for a long time. This is unfair prosecution. If Kino and Chuy do it, why is Kino the only one being charged.

Anonymous said...

It's very simple. As unethical and immoral it may be, Chuy properly reported what needed to be reported and Kino didn't. Pendejo!

What's up with City and the Canton road work being done? I thought they'd have the work done before school starts at Canterbury. There's still a bunch of mess over here.

Edinburg Teacher,

If you haven't noticed the road in front of our district's precious Canterbury was the first part to be done on both sides. I wonder why?

Quit your whining and leave the house five minutes earlier.

Anonymous said...

Anony 12:34am,

So the road is done on one side but it's not completed. It still remains a two lane road. The buses are going to have a heck of a time transporting the kids and not to mention the parents. This is not about me but about the kids. We were told that the road would be completed in time before the school year. It is not completed.

Road construction is not like picking up a combo at the drive thru. It actually takes a while. They'll be done soon enough, Veruca.

"But, I want it now!"

From political column at hidalgometro.com:
"Ethically-challenged Senator Chuy Hinojosa (guns on airplanes, enormous fees for legislative continuances, selling his "wife's" services as a lobbyist for his constituents, rumored substance abuse problems, etc.} appears to have brokered a deal to get his highly paid chief of staff, Rene Ramirez, appointed interim County Judge. Ramirez's career thus far has consisted of abbreviated service as an undistinguished Edinburg City Commissioner and several years as Chuy Hinojosa's front man. Spending reports show in the first six months of 2009, over and above his $90,197 per year state salary, Ramirez received $31,000 as a salary supplement paid by Hinojosa's campaign fund and an additional $20,500 paid for his "consulting services" using the name "Image Group". One can only wonder what kind of services (or products) Ramirez has actually provided Hinojosa to command almost $200,000 a year in reported income; and, how does that qualify him to manage the seventh most populous county in the State of Texas?"

Anonymous said...

It doesn't, but what qualifications have any of the others had to run it?

That's the problem with government. We elect or select the connected. Just look at the Presidency.

Anonymous said...

How can he be interim county judge if there is a county judge and a contentious upcoming race? Unless JD is resigning, which I doubted.

Anonymous said...

If J.D. is running for Congress, he doesn't have to resign. The mandatory resignation provision of the Texas Constitution applies only if the elected official is running for another STATE office. U.S. Representative (and for that matter, U.S. Senator, President, Vice President are FEDERAL offices). If J.D. were running for State senator, state representative, comptroller etc, he'd automatically resign upon announcement. Congressman is not an office "of profit or trust under the State of Texas" as defined in the Texas Constitution.

Anonymous said...

JD is not running for Congress, he is accepting a job with the Feds. His buddy John Sharp helped arrange it.

Anonymous said...

It's interesting that every time your rumors are shown to be a lie, you change the target. He was running for Congress and is breaking the law because he has to resign. Then it is shown that the Texas Constitution doesn't require it. So now he's being appointed to a Federal job.

Where's this Federal job? If it's a big one (which is what politicians usually get nominated for), it's going to require Senate confirmation. Why haven't we heard of the President nominating him for it?

You know why? Because it's a lie you made up. Name a source. Who is saying this. Real live journalists have to have three sources before they can run with something. You don't even have one.

You make up crap about people being indicted "after the election." Who is your source at the FBI. Some gossip in the Courthouse hallway isn't a source.

This is what I hate about the internet and blogs. People lie, make up things, slander people and there is no accountability.

JD is going to get the job Hollis Rutledge had dealing with seized assets.

Flores won't seek re-election
September 15, 2009 1:06 PM
Jeremy Roebuck
The Monitor
MISSION – Embattled state Rep. Ismael “Kino” Flores announced Tuesday that he will not seek re-election to an eighth term in 2010.

Citing recent indictments handed down against him, the legislator said in a statement that he must concentrate on clearing his name and spending time with his family.

“I worked effectively, fought hard and delivered for South Texas,” he said. “I will not apologize for standing up for our region.”

In July, a Travis County grand jury charged Flores with 16 counts of tampering with government documents and three counts of perjury, alleging he hid more than $847,000 in personal assets from the Texas Ethics Commission over a period of six years.

As a state legislator, he is required to file annual reports with the commission showing where he earns his income, any gifts he receives and any property he owns.

But through his attorney, Flores has characterized the missing reports as a “mistake” and chalked up the indictments against him as a political move.

The lawmaker’s announcement Tuesday now opens up the race for Texas House District 36 to a new candidate. Former teacher and probation officer Sandra Rodriguez, who gave the representative one of his closest challenges, during the 2007 Democratic primary has already announced her intention to run for the office again.

Several western Hidalgo County political operatives have also mentioned attorney Sergio Muñoz Jr. – son of former state Rep. Sergio Muñoz Sr. – as another possible candidate.

Flores, who won election in 1996 by defeating the elder Muñoz, became a polarizing figure among his constituents and colleagues during his 12 years in office.

While bringing home millions of dollars for projects benefiting his district, his reputation for pugnacious and hard-nosed politics drew many critics – including Texas Monthly, which described him as a “bully” in a June article naming him one of the state’s worst legislators

But Flores said Tuesday that he would never apologize for the way he represented his district – which stretches from Peñitas to parts of Pharr.

“Anyone can see, there is no doubt that I will leave House District 36 better than it was,” he said. “God bless Texas, and God bless District 36.”
