Carlos Ramos is upset because he didn't get as big as a raise he wanted to. Now he is suing the ECISD. You claim he cares about the kids yet he is suing for the kids money.

Ciro has been part of the community for years. As a tax assessor, a city council member and one of our most notable citizen. He has given his life to public service. I find it amusing that people who support Carlos and Gilbert talk about change, but never talk about he fact that Gilbert was already on the board for 6 years and did a horrible job. Jaime and Greg have already been on the board for 8 or 9 years. Greg barely shows up to the meetings at it is. Carmen and Ciro are barely completing one term. If you are serious about change, make the change where there needs to be change.

The truth is Carlos never did anything for anyone and the only reason he is running is because he was given $15,000.00 to run. If you're wondering by whom, just wait till next month when a certain ex employee takes about $250,000.00 from the taxpayers. The truth is that Gilbert Enriquez has never come under budget on any project he has ever done or been involved with. As a matter of fact, when he was on the board last time, during the last bond, he approved 47 change orders for almost $20,000,000.00. It's a fact that when the black box theather was being built at Edinburg High school, during the project, the architect who was awarded the bid was replaced during the middle of the project and replaced by one of Gregs buddies. It is a fact that Greg has missed almost 4 months of meetings this year alone. It is a fact the Robert Pena recieved tickets to Astros baseball games from a vendor of the district (which by the way is against the law). There are rats on the board and Carmen and Ciro aren't them. Again, it's sad that you will believe anything those people will tell you. The fact is, they don't even tell you the truth about their wrong doings. Instead,they try and misdirect you by trying to slander the good people on the board. Any educated person can tell the difference.

Oh, and one more thing about Carlos he may not have told you. Did you know that after he took a week off from his job of protecting our children so he could bring votes back and forth for Jaime Chavana, he was given a promotion by J.L. Salinas for his services? He was moved from the food services department to a security guard and was paid higher than any other security with the same experience. Why? Well, the way one of the board members explained it to me was, new security guards and police officers get paid for previous experience. So if you were a security guard or a police officer for a few years and then you come to the district, you get paid for your previous experience so you don't start at base pay. Carlos was never a security guard or a police officer so he should have started at base pay, but JL Salinas paid him at a higher rate using his years of experience in the food service department as "previous security experience." This year, after a number of security guards complained about it, they fixed the error and a week later Carlos quit. Right about that time, a certain individual starts approaching a few people about running for the board and offering them $15,000.00 to run. The rest is history. Carlos suprisingly runs for the board. Hmmmm. Doesn't take a rocket scientest to figure out the rest. A $15,000.00 investment to get back almost $250,000.00 from the taxpayers is not a bad gamble. If I were a crook, I would make that gamble as well. Too bad unlike some people, I have morals. But seeing as how you know Carlos and what's in his heart, you already knew all of this.

First of all you should inform yourself about Gilberts arrest but since your too naive and ignorant to do it i'll expalain it to you. He was parterns with a crooked person who stabbed him in the back (like carmen, except carmen did it literally) by making hot checks. The fact is that when Gilbert was on the board, Edinburg has some of the lowest paid teachers in the valley, today, they are second only to weslaco. The fact is, that had absolutely nothing to do with Gilbert. If you feel it did, then you do the research. You look it up.

Do you even know what a bond is or are you really that stupid? Let me educate you. The last bond that was passed was in 1999 for $60,000,000.00 BEFORE Gilbert was on the board. He was not part of that bond, but when he got on the board soon after, he was responsible for making sure the money was spent right. He didn't. Than means even though the voters had passed the measure to spend $60,000,000.00 on construction, because of him, they ended up spending $80,000,000.00. Let me put it in a way you can understand. Say your daddy gave you $2 to buy your candy and you go tot he store and spend $3 so you have to borrow more money from your daddy cause you don't know how to budget yourself. That's basically the same thing that happened. So they tried to pass 2 more bond elections while Gilbert was on the board and they both failed 70% voting against and 30% voting for. Edinburg North football seems to be doing well. So i assume you're referring to the Edinburg High School football. Well funny thing is they have won more games this year than Economedes and I don't see you complaining about Economedes.
