Wow ... I don't make these things up
I have been accused of bias, but in most instance, I am not biased. I just state the facts then give my opinion. For example, as stated in the April 23, 2007 EdinburgPolitics.com "With passing of his brother, Mayor Ochoa loses his mentor and father-figure in life" article,
As profound as the loss of a brother is to anyone, the death on Wednesday, April 18, of Alejandro Ochoa, Sr. of Edinburg marked a solemn day for his surviving brother, Mayor Joe Ochoa, who said he lost his mentor and father-figure as well.
My condolences to Mayor Ochoa and his family.
However, the major event in Edinburg, regarding the City of Edinburg and the state of Edinburg Politics, was the opening of the highly anticipated and controversial Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library.
As stated in the April 20, 2007 "Library Named to Honor Fallen Soldier Friday," NewsChannel 5 report, "The City of Edinburg celebrated the grand opening of its new library." Further stated in the EdinburgPolitics.com sub-headline "Library marks political and personal milestones for former Mayor García"
As the solemn drama and joyful celebration surrounding the grand opening of the Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library played out on Friday, April 20, former Mayor Richard García – who spearheaded the construction and naming of the multi-million dollar complex – took the high road by being low-key about the role he played in bringing the dream into reality ... [as he] sat quietly among the seated audience.
Former Mayor Richard Garcia went on to say, "They did a beautiful job." Unlike Joe, who would have taken credit by stating that the Library came only through "his vision," as he did in the April 13, 2007 EdinburgPolitics.com "Bert Ogden RGV breaks ground for Fiesta Chevrolet in east Edinburg" article.
As if the Ogden/Vackar families needed "Joe's vision" and not Mr. Bert Ogden's entrepreneurship and vision.

True ... but what does that have to do with the disrespect to the Sekula family and the EdinburgPolitics.com spin/puff to Joe.
It amazes me even in the face of a grieving man Earn still finds the audacity to kick when a person is down!! I always enjoyed reading this blog and probably still will but youre way out of line. A family is a mans most prized possesion. Just as the building is reflection of family for those it was named after Iam sure Mr. Ochoa felt is prescecence was needed at the side of his family.
If you reread ... the slam is on EdinbrugPolitics.com ... not Joe.
Besides ... I didn't fault Joe's absence. Sorry, but you can't make me into the villan here. Good try though.
Why was Richard Garcia in the audience and not up there with the other council members? Oh I'm sure it was Joe's fault. Oh I forgot he wasn't there.
What about the new BMW Richard Garcia bought at Bert Ogden BMW. Maybe he got it a cost price for exchange for his vote on the EEDC.

But your portrayal of Mr. Garcia as being some honest man is false. He is a lawyer. We all know they aren't honest. haha JOKING

I think it's important to remember our Military men and women are defending the constitution and our right to be free under the rule of law and order. Too many forget that. Everywhere you go there's metal detectors, video cameras, listening technology, gun control, security, identification required, etc... Is this freedom? Where's the trust? Where's the respect? I was in line at the Houston Hobby airport the other day and a soldier was standing behind me. She was tired from being at the beach with her friends and family, but was in her camos waiting for the line to move. The line was long and not moving. A lazy, obviously uneducated, dumb ass security guard asked for her identification and boarding pass and made her take her sandals off. The soldier commented, "this is what I'm fighting for." We need to enjoy blogs like this while they last. Sooner or later Earn's going to get busted by the authorities and all the fun's going to end. Till then we really need to thank our soldiers. If anyone is going to end this madness it's not going to be the Republican Nazi's or the Communist Democrats. It's going to be our soldiers like Mr. Sekula. Thanks Soldier.
I don't see why Earn is going to get busted for the authorities? All Earn does is report on things that have already been reported. He doesn't make up the stories, he just comments on them. Edinburg News on the other hand fabricates and twists stories around for the sole purpose of political gain. If anyone is going to have the law after them pretty soon, it's the folks at Edinburg News. By the way, a little bird told me that someone was seeking legal council for a certain little story that had been twisted in an effort to damage a public official. Should someone at Edinburg News be a little worried? I would.
